Description
Our leading chemical company is looking for 2 Quality Assurance Technicians to join their team in Wyandotte, MI. As a QA Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining computerized scale system by keeping units operational and current with formulations.
Quality Technicians will review parts in real time off the moldline and help the moldline operators trouble shoot any defect attributes identified. They will also be responsible for reviewing parts coming out of cutting and checks and balances for all red reject bins out of inspection and assembly. If parts are observed to be bad out of cutting; they will work with cutting operator and process owner to address. If parts out of inspection that have been rejected are good; they will take the parts back to the inspection line they came from and address and open the batch sheet with responsible inspector and quality reviewer for that team. The Process Quality Technicians will report to the Plant Quality Engineer and work closely with Production personnel on a regular basis.

Key responsibilities will include:
• monitoring and verifying records.
• Maintains factory processes and procedures to standard by using statistical methods for monitoring and charting
• notifying production supervisor of noncompliance
• Prepares experimental design projects by mixing test batches in laboratory banbury or mill method
• Releases materials by evaluating all results and visual inspection methods
• determining status of nonshippable or usable material
• Maintains quality service by following organization standards
• Maintains stock of forms and spare parts by verifying inventory of items
• Notifying laboratory manager when items are needed
• Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and legal regulations
• Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops
• Reviewing publications
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements include:
• GED/Diploma required and quality control experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
• Proficiency in computer skills (e.g. Office, etc.) and verbal & written communication is required.
• Shift will be 12-hour rotating (plant is a 24/7 facility).
