Accountabilities in the Role:

• Plan, manage, coordinate, and perform optimization of the manufacturing processes as it relates to machinery, molds, and tooling to continually enhance output of the areas while staying within the budget and timelines.
• Develop process instructions for the cell groups, with the Engineering team, ensuring they meet equipment and tooling standards. You will provide second tier training for employees on new work instructions in a way that is easy to understand and follows the processes.

• Troubleshoot, discern, and implement the best solution to equipment/tooling obstacles with Maintenance and Product Managers that will maximize output, while meeting budget and downtime constraints.
• Consistently review how the machines operate and the plant layout, and work with the Maintenance and Engineering departments to optimize the areas.
• Partner with cross-functional teams and other team members to maximize continuous improvement projects and new product development processes that meet cost and delivery times.
• Continually work with Engineering and vendors to ensure optimal purchase, use, and creation of machinery and tooling.
• Research items that will be purchased to ensure the best capabilities and value, as it relates to new parts, equipment, tooling, or outsourced work.

Position Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering preferred. Would consider a combination of coursework and experience.

• Experience: 5+ years of implementing engineering and manufacturing projects/processes within an injection molding manufacturing environment.

• Functional Skills: Excellent planning, prioritizing, and organizing skills are required to work effectively in this role. Also requires solid math and problem-solving skills to effectively enhance the manufacturing areas.

• Technical Aptitude/PC/Other: Intermediate Microsoft Office experience required. A working knowledge of ERP Systems and familiarity with 5S and Lean Manufacturing is preferred. Knowledge or experience with computer-aided drafting (CAD) would also be a plus.
